The sweetest vegan organic hemp towels in existence. These super awesome organic hemp bath towels are designed exclusively for hemp purists who will not settle for anything less than true purity and environmental sustainability.
We started making 100% hemp T-shirts years ago, which led our core customers to ask why not make hemp towels with a higher percentage of hemp, too? Well, we kept trying out different versions until we hit the sweet spot at 100% orgnic hemp terry loops. That's a lot of pure hemp goodness in these soft and plush towels. Totally specialty and niche, yes, for the lovers of cannabis hemp and pure vegan organic bath towel products. We also make 100% hemp knit towels and hemp woven towels, and they have quite a following of their own, too. These are heritage looped terry pile hemp towels, which are fluffy, whereas our other offerings are more like friction exfoliating sauna towels.
Our Pureville Organic Hemp Terry Towels are made in-house at the Rawganique Atelier in Europe for true purity and environmental sustainability. It's pricey? Yes, because it uses a LOT of organic hemp fiber to make. The yield rate in looping is low because baste fibers like hemp and linen do not like to be homogenized like ring-spun cotton (those who prefer traditional towels should stick with our 100% organic cotton towels). And once in a while there's a skipped row; this is part of the unique charms of hemp towels. If you are particular and can't this, don't get these special hemp towels. Get our organic cotton towels instead.
Our hemp towels are dioxin-free, formaldehyde-free, GMO-free, pesticide-free, fire retardants-free, unbleached, undyed, and they contain no nasties of any kind. Just pure natural organic towel goodness.
Our hemp towels are offered in Natural color (untreated, unbleached, undyed).
Hemp Towel fiber content: 88% organic European hemp. 12% organic cotton (backing).
Special hemp towels require special care. Machine wash warm or cold on gentle cycle separately from other garments. Mild biodegradable detergent. No bleach. Oxygen whiteners are OK. Best to wash in a mesh garment bag. Hang or lay flat to dry. Don't use the machine to dry. Steam iron at linen settings, if desired.
Many customers ask us to compare our eco-friendly and non-toxic organic hemp towels with bamboo towels - and we always say they are worlds apart in purity. Bamboo is a great plant for lumber and furniture, but the process of breaking it down into soft fiber takes a lot of acids and chemicals, to the extent that the FDA requires that manufacturers of "bamboo fiber" products relabel them "handmade rayon fibers from bamboo plant".
Is hemp the same as marijuana? Years ago, they started out as the same plant. Years of selective breeding eliminated THC (which is the psychoactive substance in marijuana) from the cannabis hemp plant, so you can't get high by consuming hemp. Hemp has so many different uses, it's staggering. And the fact that it's still illegal to grow in many parts of the world is nuts. Legalize hemp today, as hemp is humanity's oldest known fiber, dating back to 4,000 years of human history. Hemp is shelter, clothing, food, paint, construction materials, and of course super special hemp towels! The hemp products we have for sale on our website are made in-house in small batches at the Rawganique Atelier for true purity and environmental sustainability.
Absorbent: our hemp towels absorb up to 200%

As we do not use chemicals and
acids to stabilize our yarns and fabrics, linting and pilling may occur
in the wash. This is normal and expect and does not affect the
performance of the organic towels. For this reason, please wash your
towels separately from other garments.
Please note: For reasons
of hygiene and in consideration to chemically-sensitive customers, our
pure organic towels are not returnable. If you are unsure, please get a
wash cloth or hand towel to try out before ordering a set. We also
cannot accept products that have been washed or worn for refund.
Care Instructions: Machine wash SEPARATELY in warm water, using a mild biodegradable
detergent. Hang to dry.
Do not use bleach or fabric softeners. Do not
To avoid linting and pilling: Do not use bleach. Do not use fabric softeners.
Note: It's impossible to get baste fibers like linen and hemp to yield uniform loops (from our 16 years of specializing in making organic hemp and linen terry towels as well as from samples of heritage Irish and Scandinavian linen pile towels we have collected over the years). Skipped loops are normal and do not affect the performance of these rare heritage-quality towels. In fact, they are characteristic and part of the charms of baste fiber terries. If you are particular about uniform terry loops, please get our Organic Cotton Towels instead.
