Machine wash using mild biodegradable detergent. Hang or lay flat to dry. If you must, tumble dry on low/gentle cycle; remove before dry. Can be ironed at the highest linen setting.

It's made from organic European hemp, with 45% organic European linen content to get the fabric to a light texture that drapes and breathes well. This versatile hemp shirt features 100% natural coconut buttons throughout.

We did quite a bit of research in the early design stages of our RG6800 Italian Hemp Renaissance Shirt. It was to be an update on our original Hemp Renaissance Shirt, which were very popular. When we were done with the design, we found that it actually resembles traditional shirts in many countries across nations, time, and cultures. There must be something to this banded collared shirt thing, as versions of it have always existed in China, India, Thailand, Turkey, Italy, Spain, and countless other places. Just one look at it and it makes one feel calm and peaceful, thanks to its simple elegance and elegant simplicity; this is a timeless zen design at its best.

It's great for everyday casual or formal wearing (in many cultures, this is formal elegant wear). It's also perfect for hemp weddings, as well as meditation, light linen jacket, and even pajama top (matching the RG685 Hemp Meditation Pants II as pajama bottoms). It can be worn to any dress-up event, costume ball, and/or used for a stage performance (what better way to re-enact the Renaissance than with our authentic Renaissance shirt?). Additionally, many cultures use gowns with this styling in spiritual and religious ceremonies.

It's roomy and comfortable, true to the original inspiration of the Renaissance period.

They are individually crafted in Thailand by master artisans. They are sweatshop-free. Note: label says 100% linen for the weave, as there is no word for hemp in Thai in contradistinction from marijuana.
