This Organic Long-sleeve Hemp & Flax Knit T-Shirt is a cotton-free alternative to conventionally grown cotton T-shirts which account for millions of pounds of chemical fertilizers and pesticides being poured into our rivers and oceans and soil each year. It's a wardrobe essential that is cozy, functional, and sustainable. Highly recommended and a true favorite with our customers.

We got so many requests for 100% hemp T-shirts, so we looked everywhere for one but couldn't find it (the reason for this is that a 100% hemp T-shirt wouldn't hold up its shape because the fiber would be too soft and stretchy.) But we did come up with the next best thing: Hemp Flax Knit T-shirt, and this next best thing is a very good thing indeed.

For starters, the flax provides just the right amount of structure to this great tee, making it both functional and ecologically mindful. Made exclusively from 42% hemp and 58% flax, both organically grown and processed without chemicals or pesticides of any kind in Romania, the Long-sleeve Hemp Flax Tee is slitheringly soft, cozy, and comfortable.

We are really impressed with it and highly recommend it to all those who want a truly sustainable T-shirt that makes no compromises. Ecologically speaking, this shirt truly gets the thumbs-up because nothing comes even close to hemp and flax in terms of renewability and sustainability (not even organic cotton).

But you must not compare this very special T-shirt with conventional T-shirts. For one thing, with care they'll easily outlast conventional T-shirts 10 to 1 and will hold their shape wash after wash, unlike chemically-grown and chemically-treated T-shirts that lose their shape only after a couple of washes and that are detrimental for us and the environment as well.

The Hemp Flax T-shirt is dressy enough for a night out on the town yet casual and comfortable enough to be worn all day on their own or as a layer under a button-down hemp shirt like our 100% Hemp Oxford Shirt or our 100% Hemp Euro-style Jacket.

Choice of Natural and naturally-dyed Bilberry Grey, Oak Brown, Oregano Green, and Licorice Black; dyed choices are $7 more. New: fiber-reactive Russet Orange and Burgundy. Please note: part of the charms of natural dyes is that the hemp fiber reacts uniquely each time to a natural dye. This means that color variations from batch to batch are normal and should be expected; hence Bilberry may turn out with a blue or grey tone and Oak with a terra cotta or earthy brown tone, etc...

Care note: In washing and drying, please treat your Hemp Flax Knit Tee as you would a delicate knit. Hand washing and drying on a flat surface is recommended.

**Please bear in mind that this shirt is made from a knit fabric so that there is a lot of "give" and comfortable stretch to the above measures.

Please note: Hemp Flax Knit Tee by Ecolution comes slightly scented: this is the result of the naturally-occuring mordants used during the natural dye-ing process (even the Natural color has this faint perfumatic aroma because it's stored together with the naturally-dyed colors). This disappears after the first wash.
