We offer you three vegan hemp socks to choose from: elastic-free 100% Hemp Socks and Stockings, Hemp/Flax Linen Socks, and Hemp/Cotton Socks. All three are among the lowest impact and most earth-friendly hemp socks available anywhere. All are available in unisex sizes Medium (9-11) and Large (10-13). Care instructions: All varieties of our hemp socks should be treated as delicate knits. They can be machine washed warm with like colors on delicate setting and hung or laid flat to dry. We do not recommend drying our hemp socks in the drying machine as dry heat is hard on hemp fibers and may cause excessive linting.

  Description: Soft and plush. From European hemp and European cotton, both grown and processed without chemicals or pesticides of any kind. Most like conventional socks in feel — extremely cozy. These socks have their own separate buy module below. 5 colors: Natural, Black, Navy, Denim, or Olive.

More info on the fiber composition of Hemp | Flax Socks:

In order to produce our finest knits, we blend hemp with its sister eco-fiber, flax. This new blend has a lightweight, linen-like feel to it that combines the breathability, durability, and suppleness of hemp and flax into a unique product that is 100% environmentally friendly.

Only eco-friendly mordants are used to fix the colors. Naturally dyed colors are more sensitive to wash and wear and some may fade in time (only the colors, not the fiber!). Machine wash cold for best results. All of our featured fibers are processed without the use of any chemicals whatsoever.

Note on Hemp | Flax Socks style: Medium is available in Jersey Low Crew only and Large comes in Ribbed Crew only (see photo).

A note on hemp/flax sox: Since they don't contain any elastic except for the few strands at the cuffs, these socks are not to be compared with "conventional" socks which are laden with elastic to make them form-fitting. The hemp/flax socks really are great but may take a little getting used to (be sure to get the right size). You'll appreciate the sturdy and solid texture and durability of these socks, thanks to the hemp and flax—the two strongest fibers we know. You won't find a more eco-friendly pair of socks anywhere. However, if you're looking for an eco-friendly version of more conventional socks, may we suggest the Hemp Wool Socks, Hemp Anklets, Hemp-Cotton Socks on this page and/or any of our Organic Cotton Socks, which are fluffier and more snug than hemp socks.
