Best Laid Plans

The reasons that led us to move to the countryside have not turned out to be the reasons that keep us here. When we sold our home in Vancouver to move to an abandoned farm on one of the gulf islands, the plan was to keep all kinds of cute and sueful farm animals, and raise most of our own food.
