Note: After shrinkage, the waist sizes come out 1" smaller than stated, so plesae order the next size up to allow for hip room. For example, if your waist measures 30", get size 32", if your waist is 31", either get 32" or 34", depending on the fit you prefer. The drawstrings at the waist ensure a perfect fit.

Machine wash using mild biodegradable detergent. Hang or lay flat to dry. If you must, tumble dry on low/gentle cycle; remove before dry. Can be ironed at the highest linen setting.

The RG8010 Tree Island Hemp Shorts are great unisex anytime, anywhere shorts that are the perfect length for casual-dressy use. Zippered and buttoned, with trendy front drawstrings. From organically grown European hemp and linen for supreme breathability. Medium weight linen-weave fabric.

We name these wonderful hemp linen shorts after a little island off the coast of Vancouver Island; it's an uninhabited tiny little oasis of wildlife and native plants (enough wild asparagus grows here to make Euell Gibbons happy) in the protected waters of Georgia Strait. It's where people kayak or canoe to for day trips and nature hikes. Its peaceful and serene spirit inspire us to create hemp shorts that are easy-going, practical, fast-drying, and eco-friendly, all at the same time.

The Tree Island Hemp Linen Shorts are not made in a factory. It is individually crafted in Thailand by sew-at-home artisans (with years of experience) in their 50's and 60's who get to stay home with their family and earn higher-than-average income. Note: since there is no word for "hemp" (as opposed to marijuana) in Thai, the content label uses "linen" as the catch-all for hemp and flax content and refers as well to the grid-construction in the weave.
