| Care: | Machine wash using mild biodegradable detergent. Hang or lay flat to dry. If you must, tumble dry on low/gentle cycle; remove before dry. Since our organic linen jackets are made from a high-quality terry cloth, we do not recommend going on a hike without a parka over them to prevent the terry fabric from getting snagged by branches and thorny brambles. For everyday wearing and yoga/meditation practice in chilly studios, this is of course not an issue. However, if the linen jacket gets caught by something, simply snip off the snagged loop at the base, and you're good to go as the snagged part won't run. |

From a recent customer email: "I ordered the organic linen terry jacket. Wore it today. It is 35 degrees in Pennsylvania with a cold wind. It is the warmest jacket that I own. It also washed nicely. Put in dryer for 10 minutes on low. This was my first order. Will be ordering in the future. Thanks!"
The first thing you notice after having worn our new RG745 Organic Linen Terry Jacket and Sweat Pants for just a couple of minutes is how incredibly warm they are for an all-natural-fiber outerwear. Our exclusive organic linen terry fabric truly exemplifies the legendary virtues of hollow-core baste fibers such as hemp and flax linen: they are breathable and very good insulators (they trap your own body heat to keep you warm and toasty even in very cold climates; in warmer climates, they wick away moisture at a fast clip, keeping you cozy without being trapped in perspiration).
They are warm, cozy, fuzzy, and incredibly comfortable to wear when the chill factor goes up in late summer/early fall all the way through to early spring. They are one of our warmest jackets: practical, handsome, and sustainable.
The Organic Linen Terry Jackets have just enough of a collar to keep you warm when zipped up but not too much to be in the way. The collar of our organic linen jackets are lined with a soft, unbleached, & undyed 100% organic flax linen fabric where the jacket touches the skin on your neck. Our Organic Linen Terry Sweat Pants feature a handy hidden zippered compartment in the right pocket for change, bills, and small valuables).
Eco tidbits: Simplicity and Fairness: Simple living is less violent and less exploitative. When we live in complexity, our needs are so great in terms of energy and material goods that we live at the expense of others. As we simplify our homes, our clothes, and our eating habits, not only is less work needed to supply us but also less effort to maintain our way of life, as well.
As the people of the world who are now exploited begin to get a fair return for their labor, prices will rise. We must expect this and be willing to pay the costs, otherwise we are hypocrites of the first water, wanting the world's people to be well off yet still insisting that our bananas be cheap. When the people picking the bananas in Honduras, tapping the rubber trees in Malaysia, mining tin in Bolivia, and making shoes in Brazil get the same return for their labor that we do, our bananas and boots and tires and tin (and fairtrade clothing--ed.) will cost more. -- from A Handmade Life by WM.S. Coperthwaite.
