Certified Organic Cotton Blankets

• Made in USA from certified organic USA cotton: this means no GMO, no chemicals, and no pesticides

• (Tidbits: Incidentally, the original color of cotton was brown — the light cream color that we refer to as Natural today is actually the result of many generations of special breeding and natural hybridizing.)
  
  
• Chenille weave is supreme winter weight: thick, cozy, and warm the year round. Waffle weave is all-season weight (may need a second layer on top in winter).

• Care Instructions: Our Organic Cotton Blankets have been pre-washed at the production facility. Wash in warm or hot water with like colors using only a mild, biodegradable detergent and machine dry (recommended for elimination of dust mites). Minimal shrinkage may occur the first couple of times of machine drying. Do not use bleach. If you prefer, you may also wash our organic cotton blankets in cold water too.

The intricate pattern on this certified organic cotton blanket is so refined that many of our customers use it as a bedspread/bed cover as well. Our organic cotton blankets are well-made, with careful attention paid throughout for even the smallest detail.

Our Organic Cotton Blankets are made with pride in the USA from USA-grown certified organic cotton. (Beware: "Natural Cotton" or "Green Cotton" are not organically grown cotton at all — both are conventionally grown cotton (with all the pesticides and chemical fertilizers that the conventional growing process entails). The "Natural" or "Green" in the terms simply refers to the fact that no "additional" chemicals were applied during the manufacturing process. As such, the terms Natural Cotton and Green Cotton are quite misleading as they in effect are generally exactly the same as conventionally grown cotton.

This point is especially important for people suffering from multiple chemical sensitivities: many befuddled chemically-sensitive customers have reported to us that the "Green Cotton" products they purchased elsewhere brought on the same allergic reactions as conventional cotton. The reason why is that the so-called "Green Cotton" in many cases is actually the same as conventional cotton! To be sure of true purity, especially where it really matters like intimates and bedding and bath products, it's best to opt for certified organic cotton.

Our organic cotton blankets are as thick as organic cotton blankets can be. Variously called winter supreme weight and 4-season weight, the hefty weight of our organic cotton blankets will see you through every month of the year — especially if you prefer to sleep on the cool side in the colder months. If you require more warmth, we recommend layering one of our organic comforters on top of the organic cotton blanket to trap the heat from your body to keep you comfortable even on the coldest of nights.
