• How are your hemp knit towels different?
  
  They are made from a European hemp & flax knit in a medium-sweater weight. It's very absorbent, kind of like heritage rag towels of yesteryear. Very functional. Dries very quickly. Easy to pack on your travels; takes up very little room. As such, they make the perfect hemp travel towels, too, for those wishing to take purity and sustainability with them on the road. These hemp knit towels offer a very different feel from the the terry towels we're all used to. We have organic cotton, hemp, and linen terry towels as well, of course, if that's what you prefer. Completely pure: no beach, no dye, and no chemicals.
  
  
• Are there choices in knits?
  
  Yes, we offer honeycomb and ribbed knits.
  
  
  
  
• Can they be used as massage or sauna towels?
  
  Absolutely! Our hemp knit towels make excellent friction towels to invigorate the skin after a long hot shower, sauna, or swimming. It exfoliates as it dries your skin.
  
  
• How many sizes do they come in?
  
  Four. Wash cloth, hand towel, bath towel, and yoga towel (30x30). The bath towel size doubles up as meditation cloak, too, as it keeps you warm during meditation while still maintaining full breathability.
  
  
• Are your hemp knit towels washable?
  
  Yes! Treat them as delicate knits, even though they are quite robust. They can be hand washed or machine washed on delicate cycle and hang to dry. Or if you must tumble dry them (which we generally don't recommend), do it on very low heat and remove promptly just before dry.

Our vegan Hemp Flax Linen Knit Towel Collection redefines luxury and elegance in simple, sustainable terms. Our hemp - linen knit towels are raw, organic, unique, and--what's more--made entirely from premium European hemp and flax fibers that are organically grown and processed without chemicals or pesticides of any kind so you can be sure of purity where it matters.

When we set out to create our Ecru CannaBliss Home Collection, we realized we also needed a hemp bath towel collection to complement our 100% hemp bedding collection.

So we started researching bathing accessories from the old world, when life was a far more simple and sustainable affair than it has become today. Assisted by Jack "Emperor Wears No Clothes" Herer's own findings that most households before the turn of the century made their own clothing, towels, diapers, tents, and most other household essentials out of the cannabis hemp fiber, we zeroed in specifically on antique hemp towels and found that they were very different from what springs to mind when we think of towels today.

For example, recovered antique hemp towels from Romania--dating back to the late 1800's--provide an important glimpse into the fact that the towels of yesteryear were usually made from rustic hand woven 100% hemp muslin or linen and not the terry cloth that we automatically associate with towels nowadays. We still see a remnant of this tradition today in the form of Swedish massage towels that many people prefer over terry towels. Massage towels not only massage, they also exfoliate, leaving you refreshed and reunited after each shower.

The requirement for a good towel, then, is that it be absorbent, long-wearing, quick-drying, and anti-mold.

We quickly realized that any fabric made from hemp fiber meets all these requirements and then some (like being pure as well as light on the planet's unreplenishable natural resources).

With our imagination thus fired up and freed, we set out to dream up a whole new way to bathe, using only organically grown hemp and flax as the raw materials for a unique collection of bathing accessories, one that is compatible with the current precarious state of our fragile planet.

All through, we were guided by one simple fact: there is no fiber that is more pure, sustainable, or durable than the two sister fibers hemp & flax.

The Ecru CannaBliss Bath Collection is the fruit of our effort. Faced with antique hemp muslin towels that have beautifully withstood the test of time, we asked: if hemp muslin, why not hemp knit? After performing extensive field tests on many different kinds of knits, we settled on a knit that we believe to be ideal for our hemp knit towels, which we are now proud and excited to introduce to you.

Designed for the purist who will settle for nothing less than true sustainability in every aspect of living (our motto is: old-world charms, real-world sustainability) and in response to our customers who prefer a cotton-free alternative to our Organic Hemp & Organic Cotton Towel Collection, our collection of organic hemp & flax knit towels opens up a whole new world of possibilities in everyday living and turns the simple act of showering into a bona fide political statement.

From wash cloth to scrub cloth, from back scrub to bath towel, we cover all the essentials in a functional and eco-friendly--not to mention surprising and fun--fashion. Our soft and cozy 45% hemp-55% flax towels are absorbent (one rubdown does it but you'd probably want to linger on a little longer in the luxurious feel of the gently caressing knit) and very quick-drying. They also massage and exfoliate, making them ideal for a relaxing, invigorating, and rejuvenating experience that a shower should be.

Hemp Towels feature a modern and expansive honeycomb knit or a traditional ribbed jersey knit. Both are completely organic, untreated, unbleached, undyed, and pure & sustainable as can be.
